Should The National Anthem Be Played in Public Schools?
If your a student at Alden High you'll recognize the CD player has been fixed and the National Anthem is back to be played! But, should it be allowed in a public school? I absolutely, 110%, believe that the National Anthem should be played in EVERY public school in the United States. If the anthem is played it gives students the opportunity to show their appreciation and patriotism to our country allowing them to stand their free. However, this country also allows individual freedoms and rights. One of those rights may be violated if students are forced to stand to recognize the morning anthem and I completely agree. But, they also ahve the ability to sit down and not participate. But do not take that away from people who are proud to be American citizens and want to show it. Recognizing the flag every morning shows respect for your country thats granted you freedoms and the soldiers that are fighting or have fought for that. If you dont feel you need to recognize that, sit down and let others do it without you. Tell me your personal opinion and why.

Actually students are required to stand by law(sort of). Teachers have the right to force them if they want (not sure if they HAVE to make them stand) and you have
to do it. However, they can stand there and do whatever they want, but you don't have the right to sit down. It was decided in some Supreme Court case a while back.
I personally don't mind the National Anthem, however some of the lines in the Pledge of Allegience bother me (not just the word God, which I'm nto really opposed to, but just the notion of being forced to pledge allegience seems sort of shoved down your throat to me). So for that I generally stand there without my hand over my heart and wait for a good 45 seconds.
i dont really care if the antham is played or not i dont see anything wrong with it however i do disagree that a student can stay seated during the antham im sure that the teacher would probably give them a detention or something to that effect
it is not a law to stand when the Anthem is played you do it out of respect for your country and fellow Americans who are fighting or who have died for you,the country and the flag.
We should play the National Anthem and Say the Pledge of Allegiance. saying God in the Pledge of Allegiance is only right since religion is what this Great Nation was founded on. All Americans should be proud to live in this Great Nation. All Americans who love there freedoms and who love this country should ALL Stand AND PUT THERE HAND OVER YOU HEART during the Both the Nation Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance.IF YOU DON'T LIKE STANDING AND PUTTING YOUR HAND OVER YOUR HEART FOR A GOOD 1MIN AND 10 SECONDS WHEN THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AND PLEDGE THEN DO NOT DESERVE YOUR FREEDOMS. SO IF YOU DON'T LOVE IT LEAVE IT
