Do you think all students should be allowed a study hall period?

Ok, so as it stands now, all students have an advisement period. However, lets face it, attempting to do actual work is hopeless. Whether you have advisement lunch or you're just too terribly distracted by the camotion, it's hard to get anything accomplished at all! So, do you think that all students should have a study hall block to allow better study and work opportunity?

Should The National Anthem Be Played in Public Schools?

If your a student at Alden High you'll recognize the CD player has been fixed and the National Anthem is back to be played! But, should it be allowed in a public school? I absolutely, 110%, believe that the National Anthem should be played in EVERY public school in the United States. If the anthem is played it gives students the opportunity to show their appreciation and patriotism to our country allowing them to stand their free. However, this country also allows individual freedoms and rights. One of those rights may be violated if students are forced to stand to recognize the morning anthem and I completely agree. But, they also ahve the ability to sit down and not participate. But do not take that away from people who are proud to be American citizens and want to show it. Recognizing the flag every morning shows respect for your country thats granted you freedoms and the soldiers that are fighting or have fought for that. If you dont feel you need to recognize that, sit down and let others do it without you. Tell me your personal opinion and why.

Ok, so tis topic is for the fun of it. I often hear peopel throwing this idea around whether it be jokingly or not. Should the student dress code be abolished and why?

What Is your favorite part of Halloween?

With halloween right around the corner, I want to see what everyone's favorite part of the holiday is. Of course, it's gotten to be much more than just trick or treating with large haunted house attractions and scary yard scenes and hayrides, ect. But I'm curious, what it is exactly that everyone likes or dislikes about the holiday? What scares you? What would you like to see this halloween?
